This guide covers everything you need to know about maintaining your LED display.

Routine Cleaning

LED display surfaces accumulate dust, fingerprints, and in Indian cities, airborne pollutants. Cleaning requirements vary by environment:

  • Indoor corporate/retail: Wipe with a dry or very slightly damp microfibre cloth every 2–4 weeks. Never use solvents, alcohol, or water sprayed directly on the panel surface.
  • Indoor with high traffic (gym, restaurant): More frequent cleaning needed — monthly inspection and cleaning.
  • Outdoor displays: Annual professional cleaning with compressed air and approved cleaning agents. IP65 enclosures allow gentle water rinsing of the cabinet exterior.

Pixel & Module Issues

Dead Pixels

Individual dead pixels are normal over time in any LED display. Industry standard acceptable defect rates are ≤3 dead pixels per million. For professional-grade displays, a single dead pixel in the viewing area warrants replacement under warranty.

Module Replacement

Front-maintenance LED displays (like CVslim II, CVpanelS, CVLW III) allow module replacement from the front face — no wall dismantling required. This dramatically reduces service time and cost. Magnetic module attachment (as in CVMini III Pro) makes individual module replacement a sub-5-minute task.

Colour Calibration

Over 3–5 years of operation, LED displays may show minor colour shift between panels as individual LEDs age at slightly different rates. Professional colour recalibration using a spectrometer brings the display back to specification. This is typically done at the 3–5 year point for mission-critical installations.

Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC)
